DUSHANBE, September 3, 2013, Asia-Plus – A wide range of issues on Tajik-Japanese economic cooperation was discussed during the meeting of the Head of Tajikistan''s the Committee for Investments and State Property Management, Davlatali Saidov, with the Director of the Japanese Institute for Study of Economy of Russia and CIS Countries, Okada Kunio.
Investment Committee press office reports that possibilities to attract Japanese investments into Tajik economy were among the issues discussed during the meeting.
Mr. Saidov told in detail about measures taken by Tajik government in order to improve the investment climate of the country and about the country''s economic potential, including in the area of hydroenergy, tourism, and use of natural resources.
He also informed the guest about the work of Japanese companies working in Tajikistan, as well as priority directions and projects, where they could take part in their implementation.
Okado Kunio, in his part, said that Japanese investors are interested in the study of Tajikistan''s investment climate, as well as in establishing trade and economic cooperation between two countries.
The parties expressed readiness to help develop bilateral, mutually beneficial cooperation.
