13 dried fruits processors from Tajikistan, leading players in the Central Asian dried fruits industry, will participate in the prestigious Anuga exhibition to be held in Cologne, Germany from October 4-8, 2025.
Eight Tajik companies – Barakat Isfara, Oro Isfara, Visol Isfara, Fruits Valley, Isfarafood, Mevai Zarrin, Ali Apricot, and Zardolui Isfara, join around 8,000 exhibitors worldwide at this leading food and beverage trade fair to present their latest products to about 150,000 visitors, while other companies alongside representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and relevant sectoral associations joined the delegation to attend the event.
Participation at this fair is made possible thanks to the Government of Switzerland through the International Trade Centre (ITC)’s Trade Promotion East: Balkan States and Central Asia Program in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and the UNDP Aid for Trade (AfT) and LITACA projects.
The event will provide an excellent platform for the Tajik dried fruits processors to promote their products and capacity, discuss potential business collaborations, and explore emerging market trends on a global scale.
Ms. Adolat Mirzoshoyeva, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan, says: “By showcasing the diverse range of high-quality products at this global platform, our companies aim to attract potential international partners, distributors, and buyers, while fostering trade collaborations that will benefit Tajikistan”.
Organized biannually, the Anuga is renowned as one of the largest trade shows in the food and beverages industry. The fair brings together exhibitors, leading industry experts, and buyers to exchange ideas, foster connections, and forge strategic partnerships shaping the future of the industry.
Keen on promoting Tajikistan’s tasty dried fruits, the Tajik stand will offer authentic flavors to visitors, thus unveiling new business opportunities.
Mr. Dilshod Rasoulov, General Director of Barakat Isfara says: “The fair is an ideal event for companies from Tajikistan to meet the word leading food producers, empower our brands in the foreign markets, establish new contacts, get acquainted with trends, demands and expectations of the market, as well as to explore new products and innovations”.
At the fair, Tajik companies will also participate in insightful panel discussions, seminars, and business forums, engaging in fruitful conversations around the latest trends and developments in the industry. Through these interactions, they will gain valuable insights into market demands and emerging consumer preferences, enabling them to remain competitive and explore new avenues for growth.
With their participation at this fair, Tajik companies will not only capitalize on the opportunity to expand their export opportunities but also welcome visitors to explore Tajikistan’s unique dried fruits flavors and extensive range of dried fruits products. The event will serve as a stepping stone for these companies to strengthen their bond with the global food industry and establish themselves as significant players in the international market.
ITC’s Trade Promotion East (TPE) is funded by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) of the Swiss Confederation. Tajikistan is one of four countries, together with Uzbekistan, Albania, and Serbia, selected to be part of the TPE program. The project will focus on the competitiveness and sustainable export growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the dried fruits sector, as well as improving the capacities of business support organizations (BSOs) to provide quality services to SMEs.
Over the last 30 years, around 500 million USD have been allocated in the form of grants to the Government of Tajikistan and the Tajik population. Within its Cooperation program for Central Asia (2022-2025), Switzerland will focus on supporting economic, social, and democratic development, promoting an integrated and regional approach in the complex field of transboundary water management, strengthening economic ties, and promoting good governance. The project aims to support Central Asian countries (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan) in promoting inclusive and sustainable growth models in rural areas and in the green production sectors.
Building on lessons learned from previous phases of the UNDP Aid for Trade project, the current phase of the project focuses on identifying niche products rather than encouraging local producers to compete internationally in terms of quantity and quality in traditional exports (primarily fresh fruits and vegetables).
Building on the achievements of LITACA I and II, previous projects and initiatives funded by the Government of Japan and JICA, UNDP Afghanistan jointly with UNDP Tajikistan with support of JICA comprising LITACA as part of the cross border long term program initiative to improve living standards in the bordering provinces of Tajikistan and Afghanistan. The LITACA initiative is part of the JICA and UNDP long term cross border program support cooperation.
