DUSHANBE, October 1, 2013, Asia-Plus -- An operation carried out by officers from the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) in late August led to the arrest of four counterfeiters, including three nationals of Cameroon and one national of Guinea, according to the SCNS press center.
Special paper, chemical solutions and more than $50,000 worth of counterfeit banknotes were reportedly confiscated from them.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained counterfeiters and an investigation is under way.
