DUSHANBE, May 25, 2011, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon’s visit to Khatlon’s Danghara district is going on.
According to the presidential press service, a meeting of regional administrators from Khatlon province and districts subordinate to the center is taking place in Danghara today.
The meeting is reportedly dedicated to discuss the process of preparations for grain crop harvesting campaign, repeat sowing on irrigated lands to satiate market with enough food products and mitigate effects of external influence on the food security of the country.
In his address to the meeting, the president is expected to set specified tasks to enhance the agrarian sector, the source said.
We will recall that the main purpose of the visit is for the president to get acquainted with socioeconomic situation in the district and the pace of reforms carried out in Danghara’s agrarian sector.
Yesterday, the head of state reportedly visited a number of farming units in the district.
