DUSHANBE, March 14, 2012, Asia-Plus -- On the occasion of the Navrouz holiday, President Emomali Rahmon has provided charitable aid to vulnerable people at the town of Vahdat, some 17 kilometers east of Dushanbe.
According to the presidential press service, 7,200 somoni worth of assistance that included food products and clothes was distributed among people with disabilities, orphaned children, veterans of the Great patriotic War of 1941-1945 and elderly people who do not have relatives to support.
By president’s order ministries, organizations and local authorities will also conduct charitable actions on the occasion of the Navrouz holiday, the source said.
