DUSHANBE, April 10, 2012, Asia-Plus -- On Monday April 9, President Emomali Rahmon received a group of persons nominated to positions of importance at prosecutor’s offices and police departments, the president’s official website reports.
After being approved by the President, Qulmahmad Arbobov was appointed chief prosecutor of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
Arab Siddiqov was appointed the first deputy Sughd prosecutor and Amonjon Rafiyev was appointed deputy Sughd prosecutor.
Prosecutors of Shugnan and Vanj districts in Gorno Badakhshan, Farkhor district in Khatlon province and Dushanbe’s Shohmansour district were also replaced.
Besides, chief of the police department in the Temourmalik (Khatlon), chief of the Interior Ministry juvenile crime prevention department and commander of one of units of the Internal Troops were replaced.
Speaking at the meeting, President Rahmon called on them to tighten fight against organized crime, corruption and drug trafficking.
