DUSHANBE, November 15, 2013, Asia-Plus -- The northern city of Isfara is making preparations for an investment forum that is scheduled to take place on November 26, Iqbol Teshayev, a spokesman for the Isfara mayor’s office, told Asia-Plus Friday afternoon.
According to him, the investment forum on the city development program is organized by local authorities, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MoEDT) and the UNDP and UNICEF country offices in Tajikistan.
“The main objective of the forum, which is expected to bring together more than 100 domestic and foreign entrepreneurs, representatives of 25 international organizations, heads of relevant ministries and agencies of the country, regional administrators from Sughd province, as well as representatives of civil society, is in attracting investments for economic and social development of the city,” the spokesman said.
The Isfara development program designed for 2013-2017 will presented during the forum. This program provides for implementation of 338 projects for total amount of 1.4806 billion somoni, Teshayev added.
