DUSHANBE, March 19, 2014, Asia-Plus -- This year, Tajikistan is expected to attract US$ 694.5 million investments, according to the State Committee eon Investments and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest).
An official source at GosKomInvest says a totaled will include US$ 396.5 million in loans attracted by enterprises and companies and US$ 297.9 million in direct investments.
“We are currently conducting negotiations with large investors on attracting US$ 6.8 billion within the next few years for enhancements of priority sectors of the country’s economy,” the source said.
Currently, several agreements on attracting direct investments that will be signed this year are at the stage of consideration, he added.
