The Russian Embassy says it has taken an address made by Russian fellow countrymen living in Khatlon regarding the situation in Ukraine as a free expression of opinion of part of civil society of the country.
In their address to Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Igor Lyakin-Frolov, Russian fellow countrymen living in the Khatlon province have reportedly approved of “international and political course of development of Russia conducted by the Russian Government and the Russian President Putin.”
“We are seriously concerned over the situation emerging in Ukraine, when a small group of extremists tries to decide the fate of our brothers and sisters living in Ukraine. Such a situation may lead only to hatred, chaos and destruction,” the address notes.
