DUSHANBE, April 27, 2014, Asia-Plus -- A groundbreaking ceremony for construction of a new building for the specialized boarding school for partially sighted children took place in the Tajik northern city of Isfara (Sughd province) on April 25.

Iqbol Teshayev, a spokesman for the Isfara mayor’s office, says a total cost of the project is more than 600,000 somoni and the Isfara chemical plant will finance implementation of that project.

The school is presently home to more than 80 partially sighted children from various districts of Sughd province and the new building is expected to be finished by September 1, 2014, Teshayev said.
