DUSHANBE, May 6, 2014, Asia-Plus  -- Current daily electricity generation in Tajikistan is 43.431 million kWh, according to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources (MoEWR).

An official source at a MoEWR says this amount is enough to ensure a regular supply of electric power to all regions of the country.

We will recall that electricity rationing was lifted in country’s rural areas gradually last month.

Current water inflow into the reservoir powering the Norak hydroelectric power plant (HPP) is reportedly 946 cubic meters per second.  Meanwhile, current water outflow from the Norak dam is 626 cubic meters per second.

Since the beginning of 2014, all hydroelectric power plants of Tajikistan, except power plants located in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), have generated 4.318 billion kWh of electric power, the source said.
