DUSHANBE, May 8, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Online television for Tajik migrants, Simoi Muhojir , has been launched in Russia.
“In the future, when Simoi Muhojir finds popularity, we plan to broadcast our content via satellite,” the Simoi Muhojir initiator Rahim Qalandarov told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, the main purpose of Simoi Muhojir is in preparing programs about life of Tajik migrant workers in the Russian Federation.
“Simoi Muhojir still broadcasts Tajik music clips, movies and Tajikistan’s landscapes but we plan to create author programs in the future,” Qalandarov said.
We will recall that Rahim Qalandarov launched the first online radio for Tajik labor migrants, Muhojir (Migrant), in September 2013.
The radio plays Tajik music and its listeners reportedly have an opportunity to call in with questions and wishes.
According to Qalandarov, the online radio Muhojir now has many listeners in Russia, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Kyrgyzstan.
