DUSHANBE, May 16, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Over the first four months of this year, Tajikistan has imported 250,813 tons of oil products, which was 140,358 tons more than in the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources (MoEWR).
A totaled reportedly included 222,464 tons of oil products delivered from Russia (88.7 percent), 13,178 tons of oil products delivered from Kazakhstan (5.3 percent), 7,012 tons of oil products delivered from Azerbaijan (2.8 percent), 4,999 tons of oil products delivered from Turkmenistan (2.0 percent), and 459 tons of oil products delivered from Kyrgyzstan (0.2 percent).
An official source at a MoEWR says an average price of one ton of oil products shipped to Tajikistan’s border over the report period was 835.00 U.S. dollars, which was 256.00 U.S. dollars fewer than in the same period last year.
An average price for one ton of Russian oil products delivered to the country in January-April this year was US$804.00, which was US$466.00 fewer than in the same period last year.
An average price for one ton of Kazakh oil products delivered to the country over the report period was US$841.00 (-US$20.00), Turkmen oil products – US$1,330 (+US$3.00), Kyrgyz oil products – US$893.00 (-US$5.00), and Azerbaijan oil products – US$1,401 (-US$51.50).
Besides, 103 tons of oil products have been delivered to Tajikistan from Belarus over the same four-month period. An average price for one ton of oil products delivered from Belarus over the report period was US$1,048. Last year, there were oil product deliveries from Belarus.
Gasoline reportedly constituted 47.7 percent (119.600 tons) of oil products delivered to Tajikistan over the report period. An average price for one ton of gasoline delivered to the country in January-April was 737.00 USD, 271.00 USD fewer than in the same period last year.
Tajikistan has imported 95,700 tons of diesel fuel over the first four months of this year (38.2 percent of the overall volume of oil products delivered to Tajikistan over the report period). An average price for one ton of diesel fuel delivered to the country in January-April was 814.00 USD (-218.00 USD).
Besides, Tajikistan has imported 27,342 tons of aviation fuel (10.1 percent), 2,800 tons of fuel oil (1.1 percent), 4,088 tons of engine oils (1.6 percent), and 1,246 tons of bitumen (0.5 percent) over the same three-month period.
