DUSHANBE, May 29, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda yesterday afternoon met here with Mr. Jorg Frieden, Executive Director at the World Bank Group.
Subhiddin Muhiddinov, a senior consultant to the president’s press center, says the two discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the World Bank.
According to him, a special attention was given to implementation of the Central Asia South Asia Electricity Transmission and Trade Project (CASA-1000).
Both sides expressed interest in further expansion of bilateral cooperation, Muhiddinov noted.
Mr. Jorg Frieden was appointed the new executive director for Switzerland at the World Bank Group in Washington on February 16, 2011.
The Swiss executive director not only represents Switzerland''s interests at the World Bank, but also those of the electoral group that he leads (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan).
