DUSHANBE, June 13, 2014, Asia-Plus – The OSCE Office in Tajikistan in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, the Office of the Coordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, and the Association of Power Engineers of Tajikistan is organizing a one-day regional conference on best practices in energy cooperation, in Dushanbe on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
According to the OSCE Office, the conference will focus on improving the conditions for investment, production, transit arrangements and successful commercial models for international cooperation in the energy sector, including renewable energy.
The conference will also explore the essential concepts of energy diplomacy and serve as a platform for a dialogue to explore the possibilities of establishing an Energy Diplomacy Center in Tajikistan in 2015 under the auspices of the Government and supported by the OSCE Office.
Usmonali Usmonzoda, Minister of Energy and Water Resources; Azim Ibrohim, fourth Deputy Prime Minister, and Markus Mueller, Head of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan will deliver the keynote speeches at the opening session.
