DUSHANBE, July 1, 2014, Asia-Plus -- More than 100 young officers have graduated from the Military Institute at the Ministry of Defense (MoD) in fourteen military disciplines this year.
“The young officers will serve in subunits of the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard, the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), and the Committee on Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES),” Faridoun Mahmadaliyev, a spokesman for a MoD, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
The Military Institute at the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan was established in 1993 and its graduates now constitute more than 70 percent of the officer personnel of the country’s armed forces, Mahmadaliyev said.
