DUSHANBE, March 27, 2015, Asia-Plus – Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov held talks with UN Secretary-General (UNSG) Ban Ki-moon at the UN Headquarters in New York on March 26.
The two reportedly discussed a broad range of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Nations.
In the course of the talks, Aslov informed UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon about preparations for the high-level international conference on the implementation of the International Decade for Action, "Water for Life", 2005-2015, which is expected to take place in the Tajik capital from June 9-11 this year.
Tajik minister also called on relevant UN agencies to actively participate in this event, the source said.
