DUSHANBE, April 28, 2015, Asia-Plus – Tajikistan-Kuwait inter-foreign ministry consultations took place in Kuwait City on April 27, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
Tajik delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Nizomiddin Zohidi and Kuwaiti delegation was led by Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Khalid Suleiman Al-Jarallah.
The two sides reportedly discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kuwait in various fields as well as cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the United Nations and other international and regional organizations, including the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD).
The delegations also exchanged views on a number of international and regional issues being of mutual interest.
They pointed to the necessity of strengthening mechanisms for economic and investment cooperation within the framework of the intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), the source said.
The sides confirmed their interest in further expansion of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Kuwait.
