DUSHANBE, June 10, 2015, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon yesterday received Turkmen Prime Minister Annageldy Yazmuradov.
The Tajik president’s official website reports the sides discussed state and prospects of further expansion bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
Bilateral cooperation in fields of transportation, energy, education and culture was a major topic of the meeting.
Rahmon and Yazmuradov reportedly expressed confidence that construction of a rail link connecting Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan would bring relations between the two countries to a qualitatively new level.
They expressed interest in further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between their countries, the source said.
