DUSHANBE, July 7, 2015, Asia-Plus -- Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper house of parliament), has received Ambassador Hidajet Biscevic, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Tajikistan, at his request, a source at the Majlisi Milli told Asia-Plus in an interview.
In the course of the talks, Ubaidulloyev highly appraised contribution of Ambassador Biscevic to expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union, the source said.
According to him, the two discussed issues related to cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union in providing regional security, combating international terrorism and drug trafficking, as well as solving the environmental protecting issues.
Ubaidulloyev and Biscevic also exchanged views on the issues of providing peace and stability in Afghanistan and expansion of parliamentary cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union, the source added.
