Four new documents on cooperation were signed after the talks of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon and Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov, that were held today, on August 20, in Ashgabat, reported the press service of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Documents, that were signed: the Agreement on cooperation between the Committee on Television and Radio under the Government of Tajikistan and the Committee on Television Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan, Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Library of Tajikistan and the State Library of the State Cultural Centre of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, as well as the program of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan for the period from 2016 to 2017 years.
Also, after the talks two leaders signed a joint statement.
It was noted that the current Tajik-Turkmen relationships are regulated by 75 agreements signed in different years.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov invited Tajik President to the events that are timed to the 20 th anniversary of the "Permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan" which will be held in December this year.
In turn, Emomali Rahmon invited the Turkmen leader on an official visit to Tajikistan. "Both invitations were accepted with the pleasure by the parties", - noted the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
