Dushanbe. 1 September. “Asia Plus” -- President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, today on September 1, has sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov in connection with the celebrated today holiday - the Independence Day of Uzbekistan.
As reports the press service of the Tajik leader, in his message Emomali Rakhmon has particularly noted: "Our people combine strong ties of friendship and good neighborliness, historically spiritual and cultural ties, which should serve as a reliable basis for the successful development of the intergovernmental dialogue and cooperation."
"Tajikistan attaches great importance to the steady development of multi-faceted Tajik-Uzbek cooperation and calls for its development and filling with concrete content. The prevalence in recent years of positive dynamics in bilateral relations creates an optimistic background for their further development,"- emphasizes Rakhmon.
"I take this opportunity to emphasize our determination to do everything possible to further expand and deepen bilateral mutually beneficial relations between our two countries. I am ready to make maximum efforts with you in order to strengthen and enrich the centuries-old traditions of friendship between our peoples and their mutual support", - underlined in the message of the leader of Tajikistan.
