The Environment Commission of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) has announced contest for journalists covering the environmental protection issues
“Journalists, creative collective, experts and representative of civic society of the country may participate in the contest,” Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, articles and documentaries telling the climate change problems, rational use of water and energy resources in the region, issues related to raisin environmental culture of the population, environmental problems of border areas and waste management issues could be submitted to the contest.
The materials participating in the contest should be published in newspapers, magazine and on the Internet websites or broadcast on the radio and TV, Sultonov said.
