DUSHANBE, October 19, Asia-Plus - Over the past nine months, Tajik Aluminum Plant (TadAZ) has produced 309,385 tons of primary aluminum, which is 109.7 percent of the January-September 2005 level or 27,345 tons more, according to the Ministry of Industry.
A source at the Ministry of Industry said that in January-September 2006 TadAZ has manufactured 1,864 tons of aluminum wares, which is 279 tons more compared to the same period of last year.
Over the same nine-month period, TadAZ has paid 150.9 million somonis (equivalent to US$44.5 million) for consumed electricity, which is 56.9 percent or 54.7 million somonis more compared to the first three quarters of last year.
In January-September of this year, the plant has transferred more than 130.6 million somonis to the country’s budget, which 10.8 percent or 12.7 million somonis more compared the first nine months of 2005.
Over the past nine months, TadAZ has provided 11.8 million somonis for environmental protection events, which is 8.4 million somonis more than last year.
