DUSAHNBE, October 4, Asia-Plus - The Second three-day Dushanbe International Healthcare Exhibition DIHE 2006 will open at the “Kokhi Borbad” State Complex in Dushanbe on October 10. .
Jamila Fayziyeva, project manager at the International Exhibition Company ITECA Osiyo Tajikistan, said some 30 companies from Russia, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan and other countries will participate at the DIHE 2006 exhibition, which runs through October 12.
“We expect Tajik companies to conclude contracts with producers from these countries,” she said.
The exhibition consists of two main sections – Pharmaceutics and Medical Equipment. The companies participating at the exhibition will put on display their achievements in pharmaceutical products, equipment for pharmaceutical industry, herbal preparations, dietetic foodstuff, homeopathic remedies, maternal and infant health care, infant’s feeding, laboratory equipment & instruments, electro medical equipment/ devices, diagnostics and other relevant spheres.
Tajikistan’s Ministry of Healthcare, State Center for Expertise and Certification of Pharmaceutical Produce and Medical Equipment and Dental Association provide an official support to the exhibition.
The pharmaceutical market of Tajikistan is estimated at more than US $8 million. The largest suppliers of pharmaceutical products in Tajikistan are USA, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Austria and other countries. There are 899 hospitals, 1881 ambulances, 433 specialized centers, including dispensaries, treatment facilities, centers of reproductive health etc.; total bed-space fund in Tajikistan is around 40,000 units.
