DUSHANBE, September 5, Asia-Plus - The Ministry of Health (MoH) has provided another humanitarian aid to Dushanbe orphanage # 1 on the threshold of the 15 th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.
This orphanage is a home for 700 orphans and children left without care.
Source in the MoH says the assistance included wheat flour, rice, vegetable oil, and various sweetness.
Besides, a cardiology center with a total of 43 beds in Khorog (Gorno Badakhshan), a rural health center with a total 15 beds in the village of Artuch in the Panjakent district (Sughd province) have been put into operation ahead of the holiday, according to the source.
An official opening of the surgery department at the central district hospital in Shuroobod (Khatlon province) has also been held ahead of the country’s Independence Day. The new department provided with state-of-the-art equipment includes new lab and X-ray office. A total cost of this project is more than 2 million Somonis.
