DUSHANBE , January 5, Asia-Plus -- A solo concert of known Russian pianist, Honored Artiste of the Russian Valery Shkarupa will be held in Dushanbe today evening, according to information from the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe .

Valery Shkarupa is Professor of Yekaterinburg Academy of Music.  He is winner of various international competitions among pianists. 

The concert will be held in the building of Tajik Composers’ Union and Valery Shkarupa will perform several works by known Russian composers Rahmaninov and Skryabin.  

The event has been staged by the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe in cooperation with Tajik Composers’ Union. 

The source says Shkarupa will stay in Dushanbe till January 10 and conduct master-class for artistes from the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Dushanbe.   

            Valery Shkarupa was born and grew in Dushanbe and he arrives in Tajik capital to give concerts every year.
