“Padida” Theatre, France’s choreographer present eight new works at charitable concert “Modern Dance” in Tajik capital

” held a charitable concert “Modern Dance” in
Dushanbe
Monday evening.
French Ambassador to Tajikistan Pierre Andrieu, senior representatives from other diplomatic missions, Tajik MFA, as well as representatives from
Tajikistan
’s creative unions and media attended the concert.
According to information from the French Embassy in
Dushanbe
, the best works by known French choreographer Lorence Levasseur were presented on the sidelines of this event in Tajik capital. The show was held at the ”Padida” Theatre in
Dushanbe
.
Ms. Levasseur has been cooperating with the “Padida” Theatre for several years. This time, she arrived in
Tajikistan
three months ago to stage several turns with representatives from the “Padida” Theatre. Eight new works were presented in
Dushanbe
yesterday.
Ms. Levasseur has told Asia-Plus that it is already the fourth joint project with the “Padida” Theatre since 2004. “Besides “Padida”, we stage the analogous performances with theatres from
Uzbekistan
,
Kazakhstan
and
Kyrgyzstan
,” Lorence Levasseur said, noting that videos of the concerts have been demonstrated in
Europe
, including
France
. “West is practically not aware of
Central Asia
’s art, you know,” said Ms. Levasseur, “All new turns we have staged jointly with the “Padida” Theatre by contract will remain in the theatre’s repertoire.”
According to her, she plans to arrive in
Tajikistan
with a new program next year as well, “but everything depends on finance.”
