DUSHANBE , July 12, Asia-Plus - A board meeting of the Ministry of Culture opened today morning.  The meeting is being held to sum up the results of work carried out by the ministry over the first six months of this year. 

According to information from the ministry, the meeting is hearing reports by the minister and heads of the regional culture departments on activities organized in January-June 2006.  

The source says the board meeting is also aiming to adopt a plan of actions for the second half-year of 2006.  Preparations of celebrations to mark the 15 ^th anniversary of Tajikistan ’s Independence , 2700 ^th anniversary of the city of Kulob , a Year of Aryan Civilization and a Forum of Tajiks of the World have figured prominently in the meeting’s work.
