DUSHANBE, September 19, Asia-Plus - A new season of the Ayni Opera and Ballet Theatre started today with traditional Tajik classical opera “Komde va Madan” and dedicated to International Day of Peace, according to information from the theatre.
Written by the founder of Tajik symphony and opera music Ziyodullo Shahidi at the beginning of the Sixties, that opera during 46 years opens and closes the seasons.
Opera is a complete love history of Muslim singer from Samarqand and Hindu dancer from Delhi, felt in love with each other and fight for their own happiness. Their love is expressed in beautiful romances, dancers, ethics and philosophy.
Based on the Sufi poem of Persian-Indian poet of 17 th century Abdulqodir Bedil, it explains how art brings together people from different religions, cultures and geographical places.
A source in the theatre says they plan to stage the first Tajik musicale “Charkh” in the first half of October under support of the Ministry of Culture and Tajik Aluminum Plant (TadAZ). This musicale staged by Botur Kholiqov is based on quatrains of known Tajik-Persian poets and thinker Omar Khayam.
