DUSHANBE, November 10, Asia-Plus -- Premiere of the first Tajik musical entitled “Charkh” was held at the Ayni Opera and Ballet Theatre in Dushanbe on November 9.
Organizers of this cultural event are the Ministry of Culture, Dushanbe Opera and Ballet Theatre and Tajik Aluminum Plant (TadAZ).
According to the Ministry of Culture, “Charkh” is staged by Botur Kholiqov. Music is written by A. Ikromov and libretto by A. Dolikov based on quatrains by Omar Khayam. National Artist of Tajikistan Adham Kholiqov performs the main part. Italian specialist Claudia Biziani has been invited assist Tajik artist Ramazon Safarov in decorating the stage.
The news agency Asia-Plus is one of information sponsors of the first Tajik musical.
