DUSHANBE, October 12, Asia-Plus -- On October 11, an awards ceremony was held in the Ministry of Culture (MoC) for the winners of the festival-competition “The Society against Narcotics” Amateur theatres from different regions of the country took part in the competition that was conducted under support of the Tajik Drug Control Agency (DCA).
The goal of the competition was to promote active involvement of society in resolving drug abuse problems.
The festival-competition director Inoyat Nasriddin said that after consideration of all performances, the jury had taken the first place to two amateur theatres – from Fayzobod and Vahdat. They received certificates and 900 somonis in prize money each.
The amateur theatre from Sughd’s Istaravshan district took the second place and the amateur theatre from the Vanj district, Gorno Badakhshan took the third place. They also receive certificates and 600 and 400 somonis respectively.
