DUSHANBE, November 19, Asia-Plus -- Tajik movie “The Last Hope” is participating in the 14th International Festival, Listopad-2007, which kicked off in Minsk, Belarus today.
Muhammad Ghoib, director of the Tajik film studio Tojikfilm, told Asia-Plus that Tajik filmmakers are participating in this film festival for the first time. Tajikistan is represented in the festival by “The Last Hope” by Tajik filmmaker Said Qodiri.
According to Belarus’ news agency BELTA, more than 150 movies from 42 countries across the world will be shown during the 14th Belarus International Festival, Listopad-2007.
Works by filmmakers from Tajikistan, Venezuela, Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, Turkey, India, South Korea and Vietnam are presented in the festival for the first time, BELTA said.
A parallel program also includes a number of cultural events in all regions of Belarus.
