DUSHANBE, August 22, Asia-Plus -- An official opening of the Ustod Roudaki Park (formerly Central Park in Dushanbe) will be held in Dushanbe on August 25.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that President Emomali Rahmon, members of the government, parliamentarians and senior representatives of the Dushanbe mayor’s office as well as representative of diplomatic missions accredited in Tajikistan are expected to attend the park-opening ceremony.
According to him, more than 17 million somonis have been spent for rehabilitation of the park. A memorial complex to founder of the Tajik-Persian classical literature Abu Abdullo Roudaki will be unveiled the same day.
We will recall that rehabilitation of the park started in November last year.
