DUSHANBE, November 25, 2009, Asia-Plus -- A book exhibition dedicated to Tajikistan’s National Flag Day and an Iran’s Book Week opened at the National Firdavsi Library in Dushanbe on November 24.
Speaking at the inaugurating ceremony, Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan, Ali-Asghar Sherdoust underlined a role of book in expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.
More than 130 items of books that had previously been displayed at the Week of Book and Reading in Iran itself have been put on display in the exhibition at the National Firdavsi Library in Dushanbe.
Representative of Iran’s Cultural Center in Dushanbe noted that 230 book would be donated to the National Firdavsi Library. Iran’s Cultural Center has also handed over computers to Tajikistan’s main library.
