DUSHANBE, August 31, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The movie “Apparent Noon” by filmmaker Nosir Saidov is representing Tajikistan in the ongoing 14th national cinematography forum of the CIS and Baltic countries that kicked off in Moscow on August 28.
The festival is organized by the Confederation of Cinematographers’ Unions under support of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund (IHCF).
The forum’s program includes ten full-length movies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, the IHCF spokesman Alexander Kalugin said.
According to Rustam Ibragimbekov, the chairman of the Confederation of Cinematographers’ Unions of the CIS and Baltic Countries, the best movies made within the Eurasian area in recent years have been selected for demonstration in the forum, which runs till September 3.
