DUSHANBE, October 28, 0211, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan has developed a national program for preservation of historical and cultural relics designed for 2012-2020.
Muzaffar Azizov, the head of the department for preservation and use of historical and cultural heritage at the Ministry of Culture (MoC), says the program provides for restoration and conservation of more than 35 archeological and architectural relics located on the territory of Tajikistan.
According to him, more than 50 million somoni are expected to be allocated from the national budget and other sources of financing for implementation of the program.
“The government is currently considering the program and we hope it will be endorsed within the next few months,” Azizov noted.
