A joint concert of Tajik and Turkmen masters of arts will be held in Tajikistan on February 15-16. The concert will be timed to the 20th anniversary of Tajik-Turkmen diplomatic relations.
In his interview to AP Tohir Mahmadrizoev, a representative of the Tajik Ministry of Culture, said that Turkmen delegation will include famous pop and folk singers and well-known painters.
The first concert will be given by Turkmen and Tajik artists in the Ayni Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. The second concert will be given in the Jiliqul regional Palace of Culture, where Turkmen Diaspora is located.
“Visiting artists will be accompanied by an honored artist of Turkmenistan Garyagdy Saryev. The concert will last for about two hours. The concert will be opened by diplomats who will tell about the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries,” Mr. Mahmadrizoev has said.
The concert will be conducted simultaneously with an exhibition of pictures painted by well-known Turkmen artists.
According to Mr. Mahmadrizoev, Days of Tajik culture will start in a few months in Ashgabat.
