DUSHANBE, May 2, 2013, Asia-Plus – The first in Russia Tajik Language and Culture Center has been opened at Moscow State Linguistic University.
Mohammad Egamzod, an official representative of Tajik Embassy in Moscow, says a ceremony of an official opening of the center took place on April 30 and the ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdulmajid Dostiyev, Tajik Ambassador to Russia Ms. Irina Khaleyeva, Chancellor of Moscow State Linguistic University Mr. Farhod Rahimov, Deputy Minister of Education of Tajikistan Mr. Mahmadyusuf Imomov, Chancellor of Tajik National University as well as teachers and students from Moscow State Linguistic University, representatives of Tajik and Russian intelligentsia in Moscow and media.
The center is expected to promote propagation of Tajik language and culture in Russia as well as further expansion of cooperation between the higher educational institutions of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.
