DUSHANBE, October 8, 2013, Asia-Plus – Monday (October 8) afternoon, President Emomali Rahmon visited the site of ancient settlement of Karon in the Darvoz district, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).
According to the Tajik president’s official website, this ancient city was built 4,000 years ago and four temples that were found during the archeological excavations confirm that residents of that settlement were followers of Zoroastrianism.
