DUSHANBE, December 8, 2013, Asia-Plus – Known Tajik Russian-speaking poet and novelist Temur Zulfiqorov will arrive in Dushanbe next week.
Temur Zulfiqorov told Asia-Plus on December 8 that his reading entitled “Golden Leaf Fall” will take place at Tajik National Academic Drama Theatre named after Abulqosim Lohouti in Dushanbe on December 14.
Russian singer and actress, Irina Dmitriyeva-Vann, who performs music romances based on Zulfiqorov’s verses, is accompanying Temur Zulfiqorov on his trip to Tajikistan.
Known Tajik Russian-speaking poet, novelist and playwright Temur Zulfiqorov (born on August 17, 1936) has written poems, using elements of ancient Russian and Muslim Sufi poetry.
In 2000 he was nominated for a Nobel Prize for literature. Temur Zulfiqorov is holder of the Yasnaya Polyana Literary Award, which is given to authors of outstanding works. He was born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
