DUSHANBE, December 1, 2014, Asia-Plus – A concert in memory of stars of Tajik variety song Khurmo Shirinova, Nargis Bandishoyeva and Muboraksho Mirzoshoyev took place in Moscow on November 30.
According to the Tajik Embassy in Moscow, the event started with a documentary about the lives and creative work of Khurmo Shirinova, Nargis Bandishoyeva and Muboraksho Mirzoshoyev.
Tahmina Ramazonova from Tajik jazz fusion band Avesto, music group Gharibon, and a group of Latvian musicians, Baraka, participated in the concert, which was organized under support of the Tajik Embassy in Moscow.
Latvian musicians performed songs from repertoires of Nargis Bandishoyeva, Muboraksho Mirzoshoyev and Khurmo Shirinova.
Baraka (Baraka means blessing in Arabic and Arabic-influenced languages) playing ethno-jazz and fusion music gave concerts in Dushanbe and the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) last year, performing popular songs in Tajik.
