KONIBODOM, July 3, Asia-Plus -- Families of those killed in Shahriston traffic accident have received 500 Somonis each.
According to information from the Konibodom mayoral press service, Mayor Emin Sanginov has handed over the allowances to the families on behalf of President Rahmonov and the Sughd governor Qosim Qosimov.
As it had been reported earlier, six persons were killed and at least 22 others were injured on June 26 as a bus with some 30 schoolchildren on board turned over. The accident took place at about
11:00 p.m.
on the Shahriston-Khujand highway, some 200 kilometers of Konibodom. Some 30 leavers from School No. 13 in the northern city of
Konibodom
(Sughd province) with two teachers decided to make tour of the Shahriston district (Sughd province). When they were coming back from the excursion, the bus appeared to have turned over. Five schoolchildren and one teacher died on the spot and at least 22 other schoolchildren received various wounds and were taken to the central district in Shahriston.
