, July 4, Asia-Plus - On Friday July 7, visiting Special Envoy of the Un Secretary General for HIV/AIDS in
Asia
and the Pacific, Dr. Nafisa Saddik, will give a news conference in the World Health Organization (WHO) Dushanbe Office.
According to information from the UNDP Country office in

, Ms. Nafisa Saddik is supposed to make an official statement on the HIV/ADIS situation throughout the world and in
Tajikistan
.
As it had been reported earlier, during her staying in
Tajikistan Dr.
Saddik will hold talks with Tajik state officials to discuss key issues related to the HIV/AIDS situation in the republic. Besides, Ms. Nafisa Saddik is also scheduled to meet with senior representatives from women’s organizations for the purpose of introducing gender issues to the national response to HIV-epidemic in the country, according to the source.
Dr. Saddik also will visit Tajik Islamic University as well as meet with representatives from civil society, including people living with HIV, for expanded involvement of civil society organizations, as well as religious organization, in the national response to the HIV-epidemic in
