DUSHANBE, July 6, Asia-Plus -- Population of the Hissor district, 25 kilometers west of Dushanbe, is expected to be provided with safe drinking water from artesian shafts in the beginning of the next year. Turkish Agency for International Cooperation (TICA) launched this project in the district recently.
According to information from the TICA Dushanbe Office, the project will fund the installation of 6 kilometers of pipeline from two water-intake facilities (artesian shafts) “Beloduz” and “Kulmunda”, the construction of clean water reservoir with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters, as well as installation of pumps.
A tender cost of this project is more than US$.65 million, while the budget for the complete implementation of it is some US$2 million, the source said.
