Summer School on International Public Law and Human Rights to open in Tajikistan tomorrow

and conducted by the Bureau on Human Rights and Rule of Law, is opening on
Saturday, July 15, 2006
, in the
"Hope"
Camp
in the district of Varzob.
Ms. Yekaterina Klimenko, Media Assistant at the
OSCE
Center
in
Dushanbe
, has told Asia-Plus that the Summer School is aiming to train 20 students from law and international relations departments from
Dushanbe
, Khorog, Kulob and Khujand-based universities on theory and practice of human rights and its protection mechanisms.
The Summer School will last until July 25. Participants will be trained by professional trainers from the Bureau on Human Rights and Rule of Law, Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights and other international and national organizations.
According to Ms. Klimenko, this is already the 6

Summer School organized by the Bureau on Human Rights and Rule of Law and funded by the
OSCE
Center
in
Dushanbe
. This year, the School is conducted in close cooperation with other international agencies such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), International Red Cross and Red Crescent, Swiss Development Agency and others.
