DUSHANBE, September 14, Asia-Plus -- The Committee for Family and Women’s Affairs of the Government of Tajikistan launched a six-month English course for future female leaders on Wednesday, September 13.
Anzurat Nurova, the head of the gender department of the committee, told Asia-Plus that the committee began the English course last year as part of the country’s national “Policy on Providing Equal
Opportunities for Men and Women” for 2001-2010.
Twenty young women are attending the English course.
”Besides the English course, we also offer courses on raising legal awareness and computer skills among women,” said Nurova, “Our task is to help them raise the level of their knowledge and find job.”
