DUSHANBE, October 20, Asia-Plus - Construction the second and third buildings for Tajik National University (TNU) will start in Dushanbe in the near future, Matlub Khalifayev, Chairman of the Committee for Construction and Architecture, told a meeting with journalists in Dushanbe yesterday.
Besides training buildings, the TNU campus in Dushanbe will also include residential buildings for teachers and hostels for students, according to him.
Khalifayev also noted that the Dushanbe Planning Institute Giprostroy is currently conducting a feasibility study for constructing a new building for Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University in Dushanbe. “Recently, a license was granted for constructing presidential lyceum in Qurghon Teppa,” the committee head said. They are also conducting a feasibility study for building a grammar school in Dushanbe, according to him.
“It is also planned to construct new buildings for National Firdavsi Public Library and National Museum in Dushanbe,” Khalifayev said, noting that a tender for constructing these buildings will be announced in the near future.
