DUSHANBE, November 30, Asia-Plus - The Government of Tajikistan jointly with the international community continue undertaking measures to meet the urgent needs of the affected population after the devastating earthquake, which struck Qumsangir district, Khatlon, on July 29.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), they today received another batch of humanitarian aid for the victims of the Qumsangir quake. A source at a MES said that the aid totaling nearly 48 tons had been provided by Turkey’s International Cooperation Agency (TICA). The assistance includes warm clothing and shoes, blankets, food products and other relief supplies. “They will be sent to Qumsangir today,” the MES source said.
