DUSHANBE, December 22, Asia-Plus - Japan’s ALKONIS CD has provided New Year’s presents for orphanages in Tajikistan.
A ceremony of handover of donations was held at the office of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) in Dushanbe today morning.
The first deputy CCI head, Odil Sangov, said that ALKONIS CD had donated 3,500 warm winter clothes. “Of them, 2,500 sets will be distributed to orphanages in Dushanbe, Rudaki, Hissor, Vahdat, Varzob, Tursunzoda, as well as Khatlon and Sughd provinces,” Sangov.
Dushanbe and Khatlon, in particular, receive 600 sets, Sughd 500, and the remainder will be distributed to orphanages in the districts subordinate to the center.
“The aid will be handed over to local authorities for distributing to the orphanages,” the CCI official said.
Today, CCI representatives also participated in the distribution of four stoves and 70 warm winter clothes provided by the Japanese company for orphanage # 1 in Dushanbe.
